A DESIGN EXPLORATION BY EREN

A slower kind
of good morning.

Second Rise is a fictional bakery concept. The menu, prices, opening hours, address and service descriptions illustrate a business experience. No real business, sales, orders or payments are represented.

The original

This design reinterprets the earlier Second Rise demo. It keeps the weekly bake, eight-item menu, shelf comparison, baking process, pickup experience, bread share and visit information.

The design direction

Parchment, oxblood and warm photographic light. Editorial serif typography, fine rules, asymmetry and deliberate space. Motion marks entrances and changing content; reduced-motion preferences disable it.

Repository references

The HTML, CSS, JavaScript, shelf drawing and schematic map were authored for this preview. Repository references are inspiration, not claims that their packages power the site.

Images & type

The sourdough photograph was generated with the built-in image tool for this fictional concept. It does not depict an actual Second Rise product. DM Serif Display and DM Sans (SIL Open Font License) are hosted with this page, with local serif/sans-serif fallbacks.

Interaction boundaries

The order form keeps information only in page memory. There is no checkout, contact submission, analytics, saved customer data or backend. The illustrated address and map are not directions to a real business.

The source contained conflicting baking-duration and Sunday pickup statements. This version uses a nonnumeric process heading and caps Sunday collection at noon. Weekday collection begins at 7:30 AM in this preview to accommodate croissants; Friday cookie orders receive windows after 10 AM.
